Our Nurseries

Here at Little Bears Nursery we aim to make the process of settling your child into Nursery a really positive experience. We have a team of fully qualified staff who have a wealth of knowledge within the early years sector. We are committed to providing the highest quality child care and early education for children aged 0 – 5 years. Our objective at Little Bears is to create and home from home environment where your child can develop essential skills and allow you the peace of mind that your child is learning in a safe and secure environment.

We place a big emphasis on working with parents and families to help build a strong partnership. During your child’s settling in visits you will be introduced to the staff who will be working with your child. Once settled into nursery if your child has formed a particular bond with a member of staff in their room, that member of staff will be their key worker.

We are fully Ofsted Registered and have regular Ofsted inspections. We follow the Early Years framework and adapt this to each child’s individual development needs helping them to achieve to their full potential throughout their leaning journey here at Little Bears.

Staffing and Ratios.
o Children aged 0-2 operate on a 1:3 ratio
o Children aged 2-3 operate on a 1:4 ratio
o Children aged 3-5 operate on a 1:8 ratio

Here at Little Bears we have a diverse staff team who hold a variety of qualifications. Our nursery has a Manager, Deputy Manager, 4 Room Leaders who are based within the core areas of the nursery, who work alongside our highly skilled Nursery Nurses. Alongside this we have staff who have specialised training in areas such as Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Special Needs. All of our staff hold their Paediatric First Aid certificate and have training relevant to Food Hygiene.

Nursery Owner Danielle Shaw established the company Little Bears over 4 years ago. We have gained a very enviable reputation and are now operating from two separate premise that both following the vision that;
